Terms of Service

Kidtual is an MVP under active development. These draft terms describe the current basis on which we offer the service. They are not a substitute for legal advice.

1. Who can use Kidtual

Kidtual is designed for children ages 6-18. Children under 13 should use Kidtual only with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian, who is responsible for creating and maintaining the account.

2. Acceptable use

Users agree not to (a) attempt to reverse-engineer the service, (b) use Kidtual to harass, threaten, or harm another person, (c) attempt to bypass our safety moderation, or (d) use Kidtual to generate content that violates applicable law.

3. AI-generated content

Replies from Meko are produced by a third-party large language model (Anthropic Claude Sonnet 4.5). Like all AI, it can be wrong. Kidtual does not warrant that AI replies are accurate, complete, or appropriate for any specific purpose. Please always talk to a real teacher, doctor, counselor, or trusted adult about important decisions.

4. Safety

Kidtual runs a 6-category safety moderation layer that may lock a child's chat if a critical topic (e.g. self-harm) is raised. In such cases we display emergency-hotline information to the child and notify the linked parent. This system is best-effort and not a substitute for human safeguarding.

5. Paid plans

Kidtual's Curious plan is free forever. Curious Pro ($9.99/month) and Curious Max ($19.99/month) are paid tiers. Payment processing is being wired via Stripe and is not yet live. Once live, subscriptions are billed monthly and can be cancelled at any time from your account.

6. Service as-is

During Early Access, Kidtual is provided "as-is" without warranty of any kind. We will improve reliability, safety and features rapidly; expect occasional changes and downtime.
